Due to an issue with the accepted filing notifications delivered to e-filing service providers from the court’s software, beginning at approximately 2 PM on January 31st, we have paused the delivery of accepted filing emails and filing fee payment processing. For details, please read below and check back often for status.
Until we unpause email delivery, to check your filing status and download file stamped copies, please login to the application and click the Filing Status tab on the left. To view ONLY accepted filings, click the Filter Filings box in the upper right and select accepted filings.
The Issue
On January 31st, the court’s e-filing manager software (EFM) began delivering accepted notifications to e-filing service providers indicating that $0 were due for court filing fees. For most filings, this is an error. The court’s software vendor, Journal Technologies, is aware of this issue and is working on an a solution as quickly as possible.
The Result
As a result, the following issues have occurred, and we are working with the court’s software vendor to resolve them as quickly as possible. Next to each issue, we have noted the solution in progress.
- Incorrect Data in Accepted Emails – On January 31st, many accepted filings were processed as though no filing fees were due. Emails were delivered indicating $0 in filing fees in error. Solution: We are working with the court to receive the correct fee information, and will be generating a 2nd email with correct fee information. In Progress: Check back for updates.
- Pause Placed on Accepted Filing Emails – At approximately 2 PM on January 31st, we placed a pause on processing and sending emails on accepted filings to prevent communication of incorrect fee data. Solution: Once we begin receiving the correct data from the court, any filing status email that has been paused, will be sent with the correct filing fee data. In Progress: Check back for updates.
- Pause Placed on Collection of Filing Fees – At approximately 2 PM on January 31st, we placed a pause on processing payment of filing fees for accepted filings. Solution: Once we begin receiving the correct fee data from the court, we will process payment as normal. In Progress: Check back for updates.
- Incorrect Data on View Filing Screen – On January 31st, many accepted filings were updated in the application to display a $0 filing fee on the view accepted filing screen in error. Solution: We are working with the court’s software vendor to receive the correct fee information, and we will update the filing screen with the correct fee data. In Progress: Check back for updates.
- Incorrect Data on Filing Activity Reports – On January 31st, many accepted filings were updated in the application to display a $0 filing fee on any filing activity report. Solution: We are working with the court’s software vendor to receive the correct fee information, and we will update the system so that filing activity reports will be accurate.
