Good news Los Angeles County! Many of you have been asking for an e-filing portal and now you will have one. On May 1, 2017, our e-filing portal will go live in LA County and you will finally have the option of e-filing your Probate cases. But be aware that this is only optional for a 5 week period because on June 5, 2017, LA County will begin requiring attorneys to e-file their probate cases. E-filing will remain as an option for individuals after June 5th. We will go live for Family Law cases this summer and will keep you updated on the exact date.

The Legalefile portal will go live with the Butte County Superior Court on Tuesday (3/28/17). At this time the only case types that may be filed through the portal are Juvenile Dependency cases, but additional case types are coming soon.

As of 3-27-17, attorneys and individual filers can now e-file their court documents in sixteen California counties with more counties being added over the next several months. The Legalefile portal makes the process inexpensive and simple.
