LA County will begin permissive e-filing of Civil Limited case types on November 13, 2018. After a three-week transition period, e-filing of Civil Limited case types will be MANDATORY on December 3, 2018.

 

Permissive e-filing of Civil Unlimited case types will begin on December 3, 2018 and transition to mandatory e-filing on January 2, 2019.

 

Permissive e-filing of Family Law cases is tentatively scheduled to begin in December 2018 and will likely transition to mandatory e-filing in January 2019. Check back for updates to Family Law dates.

Beginning August 1, 2018, the Los Angeles Superior Court will begin charging an efiling service fee of $1.75 for each transaction, pursuant to California Rules of Court, Rule 2.253 and Rule 2.506.

All Civil case types will be permissive in Cook County by May 1, 2018. After a two-month transition period, all Civil case types will be MANDATORY in Cook County on July 1, 2018.

As of July 1, 2017, e-filing is now mandatory in the Supreme Court and all five districts of the Appellate Court. In addition, all 102 trial courts are to transmit the record on appeal through e-filing to their respective reviewing court.

 

As of January 1, 2018, all civil cases shall be e-filed in the trial courts.

 

Also effective January 1, 2018, e-filing shall be mandated in the 87 counties not exempted by the Supreme Court. To ease transition, the 15 counties (listed below) exempted in the Order may continue to use their existing e-filing systems.

E-filing is now available for more than 40 case types in all three appellate courts and in trial courts in 62 of the 92 Indiana counties. Please see below for upcoming changes to e-filing in Indiana.

 

I. E-filing is now permissive and is set to become mandatory* in the following Indiana courts on the dates shown below:
